Account Instructions

On Windows:

  1. Go to Start menu, click Run...
  2. Type in \\file-server.igb.uiuc.edu\users   (See example below), except for Nanozoomer users*
  3. Select appropriate folder (a-m) or (n-z)
  4. Scroll through list until you find your user account folder

*For Nanozoomer users: typing\\nanozoomer.igb.uiuc.edu\users

On  Mac:

  1. Go to Go, Connect to Server...
  2. Type in smb://file-server.igb.uiuc.edu and hit Connect
  3. Choose *Users* from the drop down menu and hit *Ok*
  4. Insert your IGB *username* and *password* (See example below)
  5. The network drive will  now appear on your desktop.

*For Nanozoomer users: smb:\\nanozoomer.igb.uiuc.edu
