The Core Facilities has partnered with Taekjip Ha to purchase a Zeiss 710 multiphoton confocal. The instrument was ordered on February 13th and should be installed and running by the end of May.

The Andor Spinning Disk Confocal system has been upgraded with the addition of a Weather station incubator that be will maintaining temperature, humidity and CO2 levels for live cell imaging. This upgrade will allow researchers to perform long term live cell imaging experiments with up to five dimensions (XYZ, Lambda, and Time) under controlled environmental conditions. The Microscopy and Imaging Facility now has a new near IR laser light source (685 and 780 nm diode lasers) connected to our Zeiss Apotome Microscope with appropriate filter sets. For more information, click here.
