• The IGB Core Facilities is hosting a Demonstration of the NanoZoomer Digital Pathology system on June 1st from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in room 121.  Please let us know if you plan to attend or bring samples.

• The IGB Core Facilities is hosting a Demonstration of the Zeiss Mirax Scan automatic slide scanning system April 27th and 28th in room 121.  Please let us know if you plan to attend or bring samples.

February 2009

• The Core Facilities has partnered with Taekjip Ha to purchase a Zeiss 710 multiphoton confocal. The instrument was ordered on February 13th and should be installed and running by the end of May.
  

November 21, 2008

• The Andor Spinning Disk Confocal system has been upgraded with the addition of a Weather station incubator that be will maintaining temperature, humidity and CO2 levels for live cell imaging. This upgrade will allow researchers to perform long term live cell imaging experiments with up to five dimensions (XYZ, Lambda, and Time) under controlled environmental conditions. • The Microscopy and Imaging Facility now has a new near IR laser light source (685 and 780 nm diode lasers) connected to our Zeiss Apotome Microscope with appropriate filter sets. For more information, click here.

• Zeiss will be demonstrating the new LSM 710 Spectral Confocal from August 12-14 in the IGB Core Facilities. To reserve a two hour block of time, please contact Lori Heil.
