Computer and Network Resource Group

The goal of the Computer and Network Resource Group is to facilitate faculty, staff, and students in accomplishing any business that involves the IGB network or computers. We hope to accomplish this goal through personal assistance coupled with instruction. There is an alarming trend in computing that as the power of the average desktop computer has grown dramatically over the past years, the computer skills of the average user have actually decreased. This has led to the ability of network aware viruses and worms to virtually shut down portions of the Internet through the increased traffic coming from these machines. To engage this issue we look to take all feasible opportunities to help anyone at the IGB increase their skills with computers. In addition we provide several FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) pages to help users through many of the common problems and questions we encounter.
