The IGB’s Art of Science program is a celebration of common ground between science and art. Each exhibit comprises images from IGB’s research portfolio, enhanced to highlight the beauty and fascination encountered daily in scientific endeavors. Art of Science 12.0 May 2022
This years art of science opening will be hosted at Cafeteria and Company at 208 W Main St Urbana IL 61801. The opening reception is May 6th from 4-8pm it is free event and refreshments are provided. The Closing day is May 7th from 10-4pm.
Champaign businessman Doug Nelson, President of BodyWork Associates, first proposed the idea that became Art of Science, and his continued efforts to support the exhibit made its realization possible. The IGB is also grateful to James Barham of Barham Benefit Group and [co][lab] founder Matt Cho for hosting the annual exhibit. Art of Science images has also been displayed at major transportation centers such as Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, campus landmarks including the Alice Campbell Alumni Center, even local businesses, and hotels. Art of Science published its first Zine in 2017.
