Animal Models for Complex Traits and Diseases

Animal Models for Complex Traits and Diseases

In order to support our interest in comparative phenomics, canine, murine and porcine models have been developed. These focus on the effects of age and diet on health, cancer biology, and innate immune responses. Through the use of recombineering, targeted gene trapping technologies and gene expression profiling, these animal models are being evaluated for their utility in understanding complex physiological responses across species.
