Lunchbox Lecture Series

The Lunchbox is an event series centered on food that consists of monthly seminars from U of I faculty, staff and community members that are paired with special meals prepared by chefs at Bevier Café. The Lunchbox highlights the scientific connections within food’s sentimental value while exploring the interconnectivity between science, food and culture. Through a universal appreciation for food, the program seeks to create an inclusive community that encompasses people from different cultural backgrounds. Lunchbox talks will appear on the IGB calendar when available.

Past topics include food perception, and the diversity of appreciation in olfaction. Missed a talk? Watch them on our YouTube Channel.

The IGB Committee on Diversity and Committee on Diversity Task Force is grateful to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for their support in making this event series possible.
