Douglas Mitchell, Assistant Professor of Chemistry (Mining Microbial Genomes) received the National Fresenius Award, administered by the American Chemical Society. The award recognizes excellence in chemistry and is presented annually to an outstanding young scientist who has attained national recognition in the areas of research, teaching and/or administration.
