Tim Fan and Morris Animal Foundation to test new cancer therapies

Frustrated with the irrelevance of many mouse experiments to human health, some scientists have started testing new drug therapies on dogs with cancer. The Morris Animal Foundation and Dr. Tim Fan, a professor of medical oncology at Illinois, are running the innovative 5/5/5 trial to test five drugs, in five years, for less than $5 million.
