Zeiss LSM 700 Confocal

Confocal - Zeiss LSM 700 Microscope

The Zeiss LSM 700 confocal microscope system uses a Zeiss AXIO Observer Z1 inverted microscope stand with transmitted (HAL) and laser illumination sources. It can collect transmitted light images (via a T-PMT) as well as conventional confocal fluorescence images. Modues for tiled images, z-stacks, and time-lapse imaging are available.

System Configuration:

Light source: Halogen lamp for bright-field microscope, mercury lamp for direct visualization of fluorescent specimens through the eyepiece

Fluorescence Filters for eyepiece viewing only: DAPI, FITC (green), and DsRed

Laser Lines: 405 nm (DAPI), 488 nm (GFP/YFP/FITC/Alexa 488/Cy2), 555 nm (tdTomato/mCherry/TRITC/Cy3), 639 nm (Alexa 647/Cy5)

Objectives:10x/0.3 Dry, 20x/0.8 Dry, 40x/1.3 Oil, 63x/1.4 Oil

Detectors: 2 PMTs for fluorescence (PMT1, PMT2), 1 PMT for Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) (T-PMT)

Acquisition software: Zen Black 2012
