Contact lenses may be worn in IGB labs, but they offer no eye protection by themselves. The same eye protection normally required for lab work is still required if you are wearing contact lenses.
If you wear contact lenses, you should inform you supervisor so that emergency plans can incorporate the removal of the contacts if necessary.
