Postdoc Position in the IGB Core

Postdoctoral Position Available Immediately in the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology Core Facility

The Core Facilities at the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is looking for a postdoctoral research associate to train graduate students to use state-of-the-art optical microscopes such as slide scanners, Light sheet microscopes, confocal, a STED microscope and a MINFLUX microscope. This position will also be able to gain experience working with scanning probe microscopy, Raman microscopy, and X-Ray CT imaging.

This position comes with a generous salary and benefits.  The successful candidate should be able to provide expertise in fluorescence labeling for widefield, confocal, STED, MINFLUX, and sequential FISH labeling.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. or have successfully defended their thesis prior to starting the position.
